Senior Management

The senior management team manages and oversees operations at Rotary International World Headquarters, including member services and programs, finances, technology, development, strategy, legal services, and communications.

  • Richard Barrett

    Director of Treasury

    Richard Barrett is the director of treasury and oversees Rotary’s accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management teams. He is a CFA charter holder and a Certified Treasury Professional. He joined Rotary in 2005 and has been a member of the Rotary E-Club of the Southwest USA since 2008.

  • Mary Basani

    Director of Digital Product Delivery

    Mary Basani oversees technology teams supporting digital products and ensures that Rotary International is providing efficient digital experience on Rotary’s website. Her team is focused on quick, iterative, incremental improvements on digital products.

    Mary received her MBA degree from University of Illinois, Chicago, and joined Rotary in 2014.

  • Cris Downey

    Director of Technology Services

    Cris Downey leads the Cloud Infrastructure, Security and Operations teams in building innovative technology strategies, plans and processes that facilitate the use of Rotary’s digital tools and products. He joined Rotary in November of 2019.

  • Jomarie Fredericks

    Deputy General Counsel

    Jomarie Fredericks is deputy general counsel of Rotary, overseeing the global protection of all of Rotary’s intellectual property. She joined Rotary in 1995.

  • Dee Dee Gober

    Director of IT Business Operations

    Dee Dee leads the team responsible for IT planning, budgeting, and internal analytics, as well as IT’s, contracts, asset management, purchasing, and risk and compliance. She also oversees the IT Service Desk. She joined Rotary in 2021.

  • Armando Huerta

    Director of International Operations

    Armando Huerta is responsible for Rotary International’s infrastructure and strategy for its regional offices, which includes staff in nine countries. He also oversees international fiscal agents and associate foundations. Armando joined Rotary in 2016 and is a member of the Rotary Club of Chicago Lakeview.

  • Eric Jones

    Chief Investment Officer

    Eric Jones provides leadership, vision, and oversight for the management and strategic asset investment growth for The Rotary Foundation. 

  • Brian King

    Director of Membership Development

    Brian King and his team develop and implement targeted efforts at the club, district, zone, and organizational level that strengthen each club’s capacity to attract and engage a vibrant and diverse member base.  Brian King is a proud member of the Rotary Club of Evanston, a Rotary Foundation benefactor, and a multiple Paul Harris Fellow.

  • Mark Lowry

    Director, Operations & Administration

    Mark Lowry oversees a variety of operational support functions at Rotary, including One Rotary Center, data services, travel services, and procurement and fulfillment. He joined Rotary in 2014 and is a member of the Rotary Club of Evanston.

  • Laurie McCarthy

    Global Director of Member Experience

    Laurie McCarthy and her team connect and advise members for a meaningful and effective Rotary experience. The Member Experience team includes Global Advisor of Rotary Brand, Global DEI Experience Officer, the Support Center, Club and District Support, and Regional Leader Support.

  • Andrew McDonald

    Deputy General Counsel

    Andrew McDonald is the Deputy General Counsel of Rotary International. Among other duties, he oversees the corporate governance function of Rotary International and The Rotary Foundation. 

  • Maureen Ninneman

    Deputy General Counsel

    Maureen Ninneman is an attorney with the Office of the General Counsel. She also oversees the council services and stewardship departments. 

  • Patrick Nunes

    Director of Global Communications & Design

    Patrick Nunes leads the localization and creation of written and visual design content that is relevant and inspirational to our global audiences. He joined Rotary in 2009.

  • Carol Pandak

    Director, PolioPlus

    Carol Pandak is the director of PolioPlus, Rotary’s global effort to eradicate polio, working in partnership with the World Health Organization, UNICEF, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. She has held this position since 2000.

  • Sarah Remijan

    Director of Learning & Development

    Sarah Remijan manages the resources for incoming officer training for all levels of Rotary as well as the Rotary Learning Center. She joined the staff team in 2001.

  • Chaunda Roseborough-Smith

    Director of Marketing & Communications

    Chaunda Roseborough-Smith is the director of marketing and communications, overseeing Rotary International’s marketing, public relations, corporate communications, heritage communications, social media and celebrity engagement teams.  She joined Rotary in 2015

  • Shannon M. Watson, CMP, CAE

    Director, Meetings & Events

    Shannon Watson, CMP, CAE, leads a team of meeting professionals to create experiences that stimulate, inspire, and inform all Rotarians. Watson joined Rotary staff in March 2015. 

  • Doris Yuxue Xie, CPA, MBA

    Director of Finance

    Doris, a certified public accountant (CPA), leads the Corporate Finance and Planning team, and is responsible for financial planning, analysis, and reporting for both Rotary International and the Foundation. She joined Rotary in June 2019. She also recently became a member of the Rotary Club of Highland Park/Highwood, Illinois, USA.
